Haram Iran
Luis and I went to go see Haram Iran @ the Celebration Theatre in West Hollywood last night. Before we hit the play we stopped at my favorite chicken shack Koo Koo Roo. I got my favorite the chicken caesar wrap but for some reason it was a deconstructed caesar wrap. It was still good though! We ate too fast because our play was about to start. But we did get to the Celebration Theatre in time.
When we got to the the play it looked like no one was there. We picked up our tickets/playbill and then headed to Starbucks for some double espresso goodness since we had 20 minutes. By the time we got back the place had filled up! Luis didn’t like the play too much because there wasn’t enough nudity. And while I agree, I kind of did like it. I thought the two main actors did a great job. And I have soft spot for Persian men. They are one of my favorites! I do agree with Luis though that the first act was definitely better than the second. The ending of the play is kind of a downer. And I thought the trial portion of the play really showed how frustrating limited the justice system is in Iran.
It was a great night out! I was supposed to go with Rafael to HotRod @ Mickys, but he wasn’t feeling up to it so we just stayed home. That and I forgot to pay rent!! UH OH!
